Mobile tire change service

A flat tire on a New Jersey highway or a blow-out in a parking lot doesn’t have to derail your day. Our mobile technicians respond 24/7 across all of New Jersey and mount your spare tire on the spot — no tow truck needed.

How our tire change service works:

  1. Call or book online — tell us your location and vehicle. We dispatch immediately.
  2. We arrive in 15–35 minutes — to your driveway, parking lot, highway rest area, or roadside pulloff.
  3. Spare mounted and torqued to spec — we use a torque wrench to set lug nuts to your vehicle’s manufacturer specification, not just hand-tight.

Important: Our service requires that you have a usable spare tire in the vehicle. If you don’t have a spare or your spare is flat, call us and we’ll advise on next steps. We do not currently sell or mount new tires roadside — only spare tire installation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does a tire change service typically take?

The tire swap itself takes 15–25 minutes once our technician arrives. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 5 min — loosen lug nuts, jack up the vehicle safely
  • 5 min — remove flat, mount spare
  • 5 min — torque lug nuts to manufacturer specification with a calibrated torque wrench
  • 5 min — lower vehicle, visual inspection, stow flat tire

Add our average arrival time of 15–35 minutes and you’re typically back on the road within an hour of your call.

Note on compact spare tires (“donuts”): Compact spares are rated for a maximum of 50 mph and 50–70 miles. Drive directly to a tire shop to get a full-size replacement — don’t use a compact spare for daily driving.

How often should I change my tires?

There’s no fixed mileage interval — tire replacement depends on tread depth, age, and condition. The general guidelines:

  • Tread depth below 2/32″ — replace immediately. Use the penny test: insert a penny into the tread with Lincoln’s head down. If you can see the top of his head, the tread is below 2/32″ and the tire is unsafe.
  • Tread depth at 4/32″ — start budgeting for replacement. Wet-weather stopping distances increase significantly below 4/32″.
  • Age over 6 years — inspect carefully regardless of tread. Rubber degrades with UV exposure and heat cycling even on low-mileage tires. Most manufacturers recommend replacement at 6–10 years regardless of tread.

In New Jersey, harsh winters and highway driving tend to wear tires faster than the national average. Most drivers replace tires every 3–5 years or every 40,000–60,000 miles, depending on tire grade.

What are the signs that indicate I need new tires?

Key warning signs that your tires need replacement:

  • Tread depth below 2/32″ — the legal minimum in most states; illegal and dangerous in wet conditions
  • Visible tread wear indicators — flat bars running across the groove that become flush with the tread when worn
  • Cracks or bulges in the sidewall — structural damage that can cause a blowout; replace immediately
  • Vibration at highway speeds — can indicate uneven wear, internal damage, or separation
  • Repeated flat tires — a tire that won’t hold air has a structural issue and can’t be patched indefinitely
  • Visible cords or fabric — the tire is dangerously worn; do not drive on it
  • Tires older than 6 years — check the DOT code on the sidewall (last 4 digits = week and year of manufacture)

When in doubt, have a technician inspect your tires. We can visually assess your tire condition during any roadside service call.

Do you offer any additional services, such as wheel alignment or tire balancing?
